I mean, those stubby little things on the Switch and the digital on/off triggers can be a bit wonky. Sure, there are some limitations to the controls. Well, let me tell you, our worries were totally unfounded.Įven though the game had to make some compromises to fit on the Switch, the sensation of rallying has been freaking amazing. But here’s the thing: we were a bit skeptical about how all that goodness would translate to the Switch. Now, when the game first came out on those big-boy consoles and PC, it boasted some seriously impressive physics upgrades that made Rallying feel more realistic and intuitive. But hey, look at it this way: it’s like living in an alternate universe where things aren’t as much of a downer. So, it might lack a bit of that authentic touch. And sadly, there aren’t any surprise replacements that were squeezed in at the last minute like in the real championship. Thanks to the lengthy development process and that pesky global pandemic, some events in the game were already cancelled from the real calendar way before its launch. WRC 9 finds itself in a bit of a pickle, much like Codemasters’ F1 2020. ![]()
